There is a lot going on in our panel shop. Brad and team are hard at work cranking out Timpson Training Unit panels to fulfill orders for multiple clients. TTU
We were looking for some summer help in the shop to boost capacity a bit, and James stepped up and offered a prospect – his younger brother Joey. We checked out the younger Mr. Butler, judged him to be a fit, and brought him on board.
Joey is off and running with the engraver, creating labels for all sorts of buttons and devices. Given the speed with which he figured it out, we’re pretty sure it’s only a matter of time until he is singlehandedly producing a bunch of 4-door panels a week, while at the same time creating CAD drawings and allowing his older brother to kick back while he programs the PLCs in the panels he’s building. From there, the sky’s the limit.
Now What?
All of which leaves us with a big question. What in the world are the rest of us going to do with all the extra time?
Brad and Jason will no doubt park themselves on stools at MacGregor’s, Gary will walk the Havre de Grace Promenade continuously and get to know all the squirrels and catfish by name, and James and Matthew will have plenty of time for schmoozing and going to lunch together.
Rob will be able to read 24 books each week while also running 30 miles per week. Cassie will have time to plan some family vacations that Rob will not be able to claim he doesn’t have time for. Mike will rock out all day. Julianna will cut back her hours and get to work on some amazing new invention that prevents car accidents. Brittany will call in from Dayton and wonder where everybody went. Sam will go on being Sam.
So welcome aboard, Joey. No pressure, but since we all have plans, please make it happen as soon as possible. Our happiness depends on it.
I have stuff for Joey to do, too!
